Hi, I’m Java. Come and dance with me!

I found exotic movement when I was just shy of 20. I had tried other forms of dance, like hip hop and Bollywood, but this was the first time I’d encountered a dance form that was less about learning the moves and more about expressing my sex. Exotic dance allowed me to pull from myself to motivate the movement, rather than force myself into someone else’s movement. It unpacked a lot of vulnerabilities around my sexual expression and helped me channel them into an artform. Needless to say, I fell in love! I have been dancing for 10 years and have training in belly dance, pole dance, sensual floorwork, burlesque and twerking. Exotic movement has been my lover and my healer and I am excited to share it with you.

A little about the rest of my life…

When I’m not exploring movement in my body, I’m exploring the globe. I have been to 29 countries and 5 continents, all on a budget.

I’m currently a graduate student and approaching the professional world... Finding that sweet-spot between being OUT and “acceptably professional” is kinda where I’m at right now. As a bi/ poly/kinky/nudist/exotic dancer, there’s only so much that the world can handle. I’m sure y’all can relate.

The current crisis has impacted my traveling and my schooling, but it has given me ME-TIME. And in that me-time, I have been dancing… however, a girl can only dance alone for so long. So, come and dance with me! Let’s explore movement together and learn and grow and be our sexy selves in the process.

Join Java and sex positive people from around the world for Sex Positive World's first ever All Gender Chair Dancing Class and Show.

Sex Positive culture is body positive, shame free and dedicated to helping us all find the sexual expression that suits us each best.

Everybody who comes to this on-line event gathers at first all together in one Zoom room to set up an accepting and safe container for all.

Next, whether you've come primarily to dance or to watch . . . or a combination of the two . . . everyone limbers up together on the chair, so be sure to come to the event with your own chair that is easy to dance from and around.

Everyone can self-adjust this community warm up to our own physical abilities, so we can all appreciate the work involved and feel into our sexy selves.

After we limber up together, you can choose your own adventure from there . . .

Everyone who wants to chair dance for private pleasure or more public display can join our lead instructor in an instruction break out room.  Java will share her love of erotic movement while she breaks down the finer points of chair dancing, helps you find your own personal, creative groove and teaches a group routine that you can choose to just take home and play with or bust a groove on screen at the end for us all.

Are you more of a happy voyeur?  We celebrate healthy, consensual voyeurism as a valuable part of a sex positive life.  While dance class is going on, there will be a healthy voyeurism group happening too with tips from professional erotic dancers on how to not be the person that dancers avoid, how to share a respectful gaze and how to negotiate with yourself and others about what visually pleases you.

There will be a break time for dancers, who choose to be in the show, to get ready to perform and everyone else to settle in with a good view to enjoy the show.

After the show, we'll be giving appreciation to the dancers and each other for this time we've spent together, hearing announcements about upcoming Sex Positive World events and saying our goodbyes.

Everyone in attendance needs to be Level 2 in your home chapter or have attended both the Sex Positive World Awesome Boundaries and Orientation offered before this event.
